So far a good performance from Australia, but there is plenty of tuff competition this year..
For the 500m and 1500m.. performances from every country have been incredible especially regarding the 500m times. J.R. Celski had smashed the previous 500m record with his semi-final skate of 41.462, Celski also managed to take out the final with Viktor Knoch taking 2nd place. In the womens, Canada's Marianne ST-GELAIS took a full second off the existing 500m record with her quarter-final skate of 43.922, she also managed to take out the 500m final. Korea's domination can clearly be seen in the 1500m finals with the girls taking out 1st, 2nd and 3rd and the boys taking out 1st and 2nd(remarkable result by any standard). However, this domination isn't evident in the 500m finals, however YOU Dong-Kun managed 3rd in the final.
More updates tomorrow! Sorry if i've made any mistakes!
