Vikings Short Track Demo #2

This is the second race of the short track demo. This is a 1500m handicap. I am racing on scratch against a relay team composed of 4 central coast skaters. Luke Cullen, Micah Rae, Sebastian Szukalski and Jesse Buosi are the Vikings team that start half a lap ahead of me and so have 13 laps to skate.

Great Videos!

I've actually never seen a '"Handicap" set up before... But what a great way to showcase all the skaters in an exciting demo!

Andrew,

Nice to see you got out of bed for this one! :-)

You should be commended for the work you have done with setting up and developing the Erina chapter of the Vikings.

I was very impressed with the collaborative work that you and Maggie Holland did to get so many kids on the ice at the recent skate school event in Sydney. It was great to see two clubs working together for the benefit of the sport.

I know you get a lot of satisfaction from what you do, and I know those kids would've had a blast skating in front of that crowd.

Good job mate.

Looks real good!

Great to see the sport thriving in Sydney and I can say that our family are so much looking forward to relocating to Sydney to take advantage of the great coaching!

What a great job DK, Ben, Maggie Holland and you are doing.

Go the blues!!

Great stuff!

What a disgrace, an Olympic sport and this is how low people will go. I presume that the person making the allegation of "bad technic" knows what they are talking about. Put your name to your post. Disgracefull!!!

As Sebastian's father (one of the boys in the video) I consider the comment from the Chinese speaking, anonymous coward as very thoughtless and outright inappropriate. These kids have only been skating for less than 6 months and yet they show a lot of commitment and love for the sport.

Before the end of the last year they did not know what speed skating was and now they are proud to be part of it.

Their technique is improving in leaps and bounds. Perhaps it is not to the standard of the anonymous coward, but then again since you do not have the courage to sign your name and you can only provide unsubstantiated and less then constructive criticism then I consider your standards as worthless and certainly unsportsmanlike.
